Iliza Shlesinger

 Iliza Vie Schlesinger was born February 22, 1983. She is an American comedian and actress. She was a finalist on the NBC competition Last Comic Standing 2008 and has since been the host of the dating show syndicated by TBS Excused as well as the TBS show Separation Anxiety.





 Shlesinger hosted Truth and Iliza in a late-night talk show on Freeform in 2017. 5 As of 2022, she has released six comedy specials on Netflix. In April of 2020, Netflix premiered her sketch comedy series The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch show.



 Iliza Vie Shlesinger was born in New York City to a Jewish family. She grew up in Dallas, Texas, where her family moved when she was just a little girl. She attended Addison's Greenhill School, Texas. She was a student at the school, studying Spanish as well as being a part of the school's improv team.





 Shlesinger performed at ComedySportz Dallas and was a freshman at the University of Kansas. She also took part in Semester at Sea. She then went on to Emerson College, Boston, Massachusetts. There, she studied film. There she honed her editing and writing skills and was a part of Jimmy's Traveling All Stars, a comedy sketch group for students on campus.

 Following her graduation from college Shlesinger moved to Los Angeles to pursue stand-up comedy. She was among the most well-known members of the Whiteboy Comedy group of standup comedians in Los Angeles, which brought her on stage at The Improv in Hollywood.
